Rap superstar JAY-Z had a special treat in store for fans at his recent New York concert - he brought out his new wife BEYONCE KNOWLES to take part in a brief skit.

The Big Pimpin’ hitmaker, real name Shawn Carter, performed at the Big Apple’s Madison Square Garden on Friday (02May08) as part of his Heart of the City tour with Mary J. Blige.

During one part of his show, Jay-Z takes to the DJ booth and cues the instrumentals of his classic tracks, including Money Ain’t A Thang and Hard Knock Life, before cutting them short and yelling, “F**k that!”

He grinned as he gave the same treatment to ‘03 Bonnie + Clyde, a duet with the former Destiny’s Child beauty, and then Knowles’ Crazy In Love - to which he shouted, “F**k that too… No disrespect.”

Immediately after his comment, Knowles strutted on stage and struck a pose, raising her eyebrow in response to his decision to pull her song.

The hip-hop star played Crazy In Love again, and Knowles launched into her infamous ‘uh oh’ dance, much to the crowd’s enjoyment. After finishing her routine, she walked over to her husband, spun on her heels and smiled before walking offstage, leaving her beau doubled over in laughter, reports MTV.com.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have had a late honeymoon in Arizona after their nuptials last month, according to reports.

The urban music gods have apparently been staying at the £2,000 a night Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort to escape their hectic work lives and celebrate their wedding.

A source there told OK Magazine: “Beyonce looked stunning, even though she was wearing no make-up. They looked so in love and so happy.”

Jigga and Bey got married in a secretive wedding ceremony on April 4 in New York.

Guests included Kelly Rowland, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Beyonce starts work on new album

Newly wed Beyonce is back in the studio working on her new album.

The ‘Baby Boy’ singer — who married rapper Jay-Z in a secret ceremony last month — is reportedly holed up in a New York studio working on new material with production duo Chris ‘Tricky’ Stewart and Kuk Harrell.

Tricky said: “She’s a professional. She loves what she does and works her butt off. Right now she’s basically doing three to four songs a day and that’s unheard of.”

Tricky — who has worked with Rihanna and Mariah Carey in the past — also hinted that the former Destiny’s Child singer could be teaming up with her new husband.

He added: “It’s always a possibility. They worked together before, so it may be just a matter of getting the right record.”

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Beyonce, 26, is pregnant; and the reason for her shotgun wedding to the ‘99 Problems’ rapper on April 4 is because she was keen to tie the knot before she had the baby.

A source said: “Beyonce is 100 per cent pregnant, which is why the couple rushed their wedding.

“The wedding was thrown together so quickly because of Beyonce’s strong Christian beliefs.”

Beyonce Is Pregnant?

Looks like the celebrity baby boom that started last year is far from over. Move over Angelina and Ashlee because Beyonce Knowles is going to be adding her name onto the celebrity mommy list.

Hollyscoop has learned exclusively through multiple sources that Beyonce is expecting. A source close to the couple revealed, “Beyonce is 100% pregnant, which is why the couple rushed their wedding.” The source also told Hollyscoop that all the friends and family that attended the ultra private wedding were all aware that Beyonce was already expecting.

Our source added that Beyonce is in her early stages, but don’t expect this star to come out with a confirmation statement anytime soon. The couple is pretty private about their personal lives–they still haven’t even confirmed their wedding. But the source confirmed that she is expecting and they rushed the wedding due to Beyonce’s strong Christian beliefs.

According to a “trusted LA source,” newly weds Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z are planning to make two special announcements. The first will be confirming their marriage, and the second will be announcing that Knowles is pregnant.

“A baby would be an obvious one,” says a source. “But they’re saying nothing until the official announcement.”

Ellen DeGeneres was given way too much access to Beyonce. Well, at least that is how the plot of the new American Express TV ad plays it.

Ellen and Beyonce will star in the new commercial for the credit card company.

In the 30 second TV ad, Ellen uses her card to buy insider access to the entertainment experience. Beyonce advises Ellen to “have your people call my people” when she gets just a little too much access.

Ellen will also feature in the new press ads for American Express. Photographer to the stars Annie Leibovitz took the photos of Ellen as a ventriloquist and one-man band.

Jay-Z Choses Work Over Beyonce Honeymoon

Jay-Z didn’t let his recent wedding to Beyonce Knowles get in the way of his work commitments, according to his music collaborator.

Producer Jermaine Dupri reveals that the hip-hop mogul was back in the studio just a day after he exchanged vows with his Bootylicious girlfriend in New York on April 4.

“We were in the studio the day after the wedding doing a record for Usher’s album,” Dupri tells Usmagazine.com.

“It’s the same as he always is,” he adds.

But Janet Jackson’s other half was unable to dish on how his pal is enjoying married life.

“We don’t talk about that kind of stuff,” he says. “We talk about work.”

The couple’s hush-hush nuptials were confirmed when Jay-Z and Beyonce filed their signed marriage licence last Friday.

Beyonce And Jay-Z Filed Signed Marriage License On Friday

While Jay-Z and Beyoncé have yet to publicly acknowledge their April 4 wedding in New York, it now appears as though they’re confirming the union, in a nonverbal, but very official, sort of way.

The couple filed a signed wedding license on Friday in Scarsdale, New York, according to a spokesperson for that village’s clerk’s office. The two are notoriously private about their relationship, but ever since they allegedly obtained the license in Scarsdale on April 1, their marriage has been the focus of nonstop speculation.

Jay and B are said to have wed during a private ceremony at the rapper’s New York apartment. After exchanging vows, the couple - who had dated for six years before tying the knot - reportedly celebrated with a lavish party, which was attended by their families and many celebrities, including Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and wife Gwyneth Paltrow. DJ Cassidy, one of Jay’s favorites, served as the evening’s entertainment.

This news follows recent reports that Beyoncé had been spotted during her hubby’s recent gig with Mary J. Blige in Atlanta, proudly displaying an enormous rock on her left-hand ring finger.

UsMagazine.com reported last week that Beyoncé’s sister Solange “played coy” when asked about the wedding during a visit to the mag’s offices, saying, “What night are you talking about? Friday? Hmm. Friday. I really don’t [know],” and “I have no idea!” when asked if her sister likes being married.

“Family is family, and we’re all [a] very tight-knit, protective family,” she added.

Mags accused of racism over Beyonce wedding

Nicole on April 22nd, 2008 | File Under News | 1 Comment -

FOUR BIG celebrity mid-week magazines have been accused of racism after failing to put news of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s wedding on their cover.

The accusation surfaced after Ben Widdicombe, a New York Daily News columnist noted that only Us Weekly, one of the five mid-week glossies, put the power couple’s wedding on its cover.

He said one top editor blamed the lack of attention on a perception in the industry that ‘African-Americans don’t sell covers.’ Only media mogul, Oprah Winfrey, was seen by many as being able to sell covers.

But Us Weekly editor in chief Janice Min, the only non-white to be in charge of a top US celebrity magazine told Widdicombe: “Janet Jackson has been on our cover twice, for two of our best-selling issues we’ve ever had.”

Some sources suggested that black stars would get much less than white and latino stars for exclusive wedding photos.

They said Eva Longoria can get US$1 million for wedding photos, but Beyonce could have received as little as US$250,000 for hers, without the expectation of cover sales.

Last week, magazine publisher and black gossip pioneer Flo Anthony blasted such claims on Blacknews.com.

“That sounds to me a very racist statement. Beyoncé is one of the biggest stars in the world, much bigger than Eva Longoria.”

Beyonce, Snoop Dogg do the Merc

ccweb1.jpgWHEN Dane Macaskill takes his car for a spin he takes Beyonce, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg with him.

The Runaway Bay local has top American rap and hip-hop artists plastered down each side of his car. One side has musicians who are still alive and the other with those who have died.

Mr Macaskill said it took about two years to customise his old Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 71.

The Merc is fitted with a television, stereos, diamantes and crystals, and has a chain steering wheel.

It was one of hundreds of cars on display at the Hyperzone event at Parklands Showgrounds on the weekend.

Mr Macaskill, who runs a business called Dr Pimp Customs, has been in the car-custom business for about 10 years and said he was interested in the American styles.

“I like the American low-rider style cars,” he said.

“I just like the same sort of stuff they do on Pimp My Ride (a show on pay-TV channel MTV) and that crazy, out-there kind of style.”

Mr Macaskill said his Merc was rare and only about 8500 of them were ever made.

With its restoration and customisation, Mr Macaskill said the car would be worth about $30,000.

“It’s fully street registered. I take out out when I get the chance,” he said.

“I’ve done quite a few cars up. I’ve had many, many different cars. This would be one of the betters ones I’ve done.

“My last one, my convertible Valiant, was my first big build but this one has come a long way.”

Mr Macaskill said he would keep the car for some time before selling. He loved restoring cars for business and in his spare time.

“It was a hobby I was able to turn into a business so it turned out good.”
